Intel Announces New Bitcoin Mining Chip
Intel has released details on its new bitcoin mining chip, the Intel Blockscale ASIC, which will ship in the third quarter of this year. It is reported by Bitcoin Magazine.
The Intel Blockscale ASIC is designed to improve the efficiency of Proof-of-Work (PoW) mining. The new chip will operate with an energy efficiency of up to 26 J/TH.
Intel will only ship the ASIC chip itself to customers, not a complete mining system.
